To create alternate policies and practices based on peace and harmony, which lead to improvement in human rights and tension reduction in the region.
Gomal Zam Dam (Multipurpose project) is situated at Khajuri Kachh in South Waziristan Agency, about 100 kms from Tank in Tank district of KPK.
The government of KPK has shown great interest and concern regarding various aspects pertaining to Gomal Zam dam after its completion. The government’s main interests are to derive maximum socio-economic benefits for the people of the command area and the economic sustainability of the project itself. In order to achieve these progressive goals, a proper mechanism involving detailed research needs to be adopted.
USAID has shown great interest and desire to help the provincial government by sponsoring the costs incurred on the preparatory research work involved in identification of these issues and their solutions prior to completion of Gomal Zam dam with a view to enhance the socio-economic conditions of this backward area
As Gomal Zam Dam being built in South Waziristan Agency nears completion and is expected to get operational by the end of the year, new opportunities and challenges have emerged that necessitate a comprehensive governance and execution model for conflict resolution, optimum utilisation of resources and smooth implementation of the project.
The GZD is a multi-purpose project consisting of three components — dam and spillway, power house and irrigation system. It is being completed by Wapda and Frontier Works Organisation with financial assistance from the USAID which had provided $80 million to help complete the work which was expected to hit snags for shortage of funds.
Proposed Project Beneficiaries Since RIPORT will make policy recommendations, their adoption will benefit a sizable population of district Tank & DIKhan.

Our Project Includes the followings;
Working in collaboration with other stake holders, on a nonprofit basis, the main objective of RIPORT is to serve the region and emerge as a centre of excellence for generating alternate policy recommendations while enhancing the capacity of government and civil society leading to economic and social improvement in the community at large. In pursuit of the main objective RIPORT aims to focus on the following main areas.
