RIPORT is an independent non-profit organization has responded to the one of the worst floods ever recorded in Pakistan’s history which has affected more than 14 million persons in Pakistan. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) the situation is even worse since this province’s 24 million inhabitants are dependent on bridges for communication and buying or selling of goods. The floods have not only destroyed KP’s infrastructure but has ruined its agriculture value chain thus badly affecting the livelihood of its people. It will take many generations of hard effort before families are able to reconstruct their lives.

RIPORT believes in saving as many lives as possible and began its contribution to this ideal by deciding to provide food and hygiene assistance to the flood Affectees of Kalam in Swat; one of the most badly hit areas. Charity begins at home – the RIPORT head office staff at Peshawar took the lead when they donated Rs. 123,000 on 12th August to be spent on sending food and hygiene kits to the flood Affectees.

Simultaneously, RIPORT has also launched today its Flood Assistance World Wide Appeal by creating accountable institutional arrangements for collecting donations for the flood victims. RIPORT invites all those who wish to help to contribute by sending their donations to:
